You can also access webcam controls through LED glyphs across the top of the touchpad. It’s a nice touch, and we’re big fans of the oversized Collaboration Touchpad. 

The touchpad has haptic feedback, and the keyboard is one of the best around. It features a zero-lattice design with mini-LED backlighting. Audio is impressive from the two long speakers on either side of the keyboard. While the webcam tops out at 1080p and 30fps, it’s an IR camera, and dual-array mics capture the audio.

Connectivity options are solid on this laptop with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and three Thunderbolt 4 ports. All have power delivery, and there’s an option for 5G if you opt for the WWAN configuration. It’s a QHD+ panel with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600, like the 9440. These are just their current models; you’ll find other sizes and resolutions with older machines.

All feature the company’s InfinityEdge design and have an anti-smudge coating to keep fingerprints at bay. The panels handle reflections well and have sharp, vivid displays. Are they on par with Apple’s Retina panel? No, but they aren’t designed for that and will certainly get the job done. As someone who stares at a screen all day, the comfy display on the 9440 is one reason I would buy a Dell Latitude 2-in-1.
